From the day Adrian asked me to marry, All I think about is our wedding. Usually, I dream about it before sleeping. At work, I always tell to my best friend my idyllic ideas regarding the wedding. We\u2019ve known each other since we are little girls and I chose her as my wedding witness. Actually, her Italian origins ispired us for the choice of the location for our wedding. We will get married in Italy, in the region of Veneto<\/strong>. In which structure? We still don’t know. But one thing is certain: we want to get married in a castle<\/strong>, near a small medieval village<\/strong>. I have always dreamt of being a princess and marrying my prince, as in a fairy tale of another era.<\/p>\n Thus, we are going for a short but intense tour of the most enchanting villages of Italy in the Veneto region. We are going to have a full immersion weekend to visit the best locations. We are leaving tomorrow.<\/p>\n Our first stop is a place near Padua; we\u2019re going to the Euganean Hills<\/strong>. The green colour of these gentle slopes reminds me of my beloved moor and I already feel at ease. Lots of small historic villages are everywhere on these hills. We visit some of them, including the picturesque Arqu\u00e0 Petrarca, Battaglia Terme and the Roman village of Cittadella, wiche has a particular round plant. Walking among ancient villages and around the town\u2019s walls, I feel like a lady with my knight.<\/p>\n Thanks to the second stop in the Padua area, we discover the medieval San Pelagio Castle<\/strong>; now, I understand why even D\u2019Annunzio fell in love with it. Its hot air balloon room enchants us. I can already see all our guests sitting there while celebrating with us. Then, we cross the historic botanical garden, surrounded by the a lot of varieties of flowers. We have fun in the labyrinths and discover a romantic pond. On the way to Verona, we admire the magical Bevilacqua Castle<\/strong>. Its timeless beauty leaves me speechless. The salons, the frescos, the gardens \u2026 I feel that here our dream could become truht!<\/p>\n However Marco, our expert mentor, tells us that the best is yet to come. Other fascinating villages and castles await us. In fact, we walk through the streets of Soave, wich is dominated by the homonymous castle. Then, we conclude the first part of our tour in Valeggio<\/strong> and Borghetto sul Mincio. In these two villages of Lombard origin, the protagonists are both its fascinating historicity and the beauty of Garda Lake. We walk along the promenade that joins its two castles, while enjoying the breathtaking view and listening to Marco,who tells us about the tradition of the living checkers. And of course, we can\u2019t help but taste the delicious cherries produced here. Their delicate flavor conquers my palate and if I close my eyes, I can already taste our wedding cake.<\/p>\n Even if our ideas start to become clearer now and we have just identified a couple of right locations for the wedding, our tour goes on. We approach the Dolomites and some areas between Treviso and Belluno donate us some new ideas\u2026<\/p>\n I think I\u2019ll never forget the view from the fortress of Asolo. We ask Marco to stop in this village hidden among the vineyards for a while. We walk under the porticoes, we visit the cathedral and its frescoes and we enjoy the view from the castle, drinking a glass of excellent Prosecco wine. Everything is simply perfect.<\/p>\n Lastly, we continue to Follina<\/strong>. The ancient Abbey of Santa Maria<\/strong>, originally a Benedictine monastery, seduces us with its cloisters and internal garden. Marco takes us some pictures while I imagine loads of white decorations all around us, on the most important day of our lives. We continue towards another beautiful and ancient towns of Italy, Cison di Valmarino<\/strong>. While we visit it, I can\u2019t help but notice an amazing casle in the distance. Marco confesses us that we are headed right there in a few minutes. Castel Brando turns out to be a modern fairy tale: I already imagine myself dancing with my future husband in the romantic courtyard of the castle \u2026 emotions give me goose bumps.<\/p>\n Ci sposeremo in Italia, precisamente in Veneto. In quale struttura? Ancora non lo sappiamo. Una cosa per\u00f2 \u00e8 certa: vogliamo sposarci in un castello, vicino a un piccolo borgo medievale. Ho sempre sognato di essere una principessa e di sposare il mio principe, come in una favola d\u2019altri tempi.<\/p> Cos\u00ec, ci attende un breve ma intenso tour tra i borghi pi\u00f9 belli d\u2019Italia nel Veneto. Avremo un intero fine settimana per visitare le location migliori. La partenza \u00e8 domani.<\/p> La nostra prima destinazine sono i Colli Euganei, vicino Padova. Il verde di questi dolci pendii mi riporta alla mente il colore della mia amata brughiera e sono gi\u00e0 a mio agio. Queste colline sono tempestate di piccoli borghi storici, uno pi\u00f9 incantevole dell\u2019altro. Ne esploriamo alcuni, tra cui il pittoresco Arqu\u00e0 Petrarca, Battaglia Terme e il romano borgo di Cittadella, dalla particolare pianta rotonda. Passeggiando tra borghi e cittadine murate e mi sento come una dama con il mio cavaliere.<\/p> La seconda tappa nel padovano ci fa scoprire il medievale Castello di San Pelagio e capisco perch\u00e9 anche D\u2019Annunzio se ne innamor\u00f2. La stanza delle mongolfiere ci incanta. Vedo gi\u00e0 tutti i nostri invitati seduti l\u00ec a festeggiare con noi. Poi, attraversiamo lo storico giardino botanico, inebriati dalle infinite variet\u00e0 di fiori. Ci divertiamo nei labirinti e scopriamo un romantico laghetto. Percorriamo la passeggiata che unisce i suoi due castelli mentre ci godiamo il panorama mozzafiato sulla pianura e ascoltiamo Marco che ci racconta la tradizione della dama vivente<\/strong>. Vista la stagione, non possiamo fare a meno di assaggiare le deliziose ciliegie prodotte qui. Il loro sapore delicato conquista il mio palato e se chiudo gli occhi, riesco gi\u00e0 ad assaporare la nostra torta nuziale.<\/p> Anche se le nostre idee iniziano a schiarirsi e abbiamo individuato un paio di location giuste per noi, il nostro tour continua.
